Dollmakers and Dolls
Dolls were traditionally made with local materials such as seal skin, ivory, fur and gut. Today’s doll makers use both traditional and modern materials. Some of the well known doll makers are Anna Martins, Rosalie Paniyak, Dorothy Nayamin, Neva Mathias, Betty Atchak, Maggie Atcherian, Earl Atchak and Lisa Unin.
